The Kawaii Guide to Shopping in Harajuku
Harajuku is one of my absolute favourite places to visit in Tokyo. In fact, if you only have one day in Tokyo, I would seriously consider spending it in Harajuku. You will experience a little bit of everything Tokyo has to offer in a single district. From the huge crowds and kawaii fashion shops of Takeshita-dori, the serenity of the Meiji Jingu shrine, to the high-end fashion outlets on Ometasando, the trendy hipster cafes and life style stores in the backstreets of Urahara, to people watching at Yoyogi park (think 50's style dancers and people walking meerkats), Harajuku really does have it all. If you have enough energy left after a fun-packed day here you can walk south to Shibuyu to take in some classic Tokyo nightlife! A perfect day.
Whenever I visit Harajuku there are a few shops I absolutely must stop in every time. Here is my run down of the 'must see' kawaii shops in Harajuku. (^○^)/

B-SIDE LABEL
B-side label is an art and sticker store with a few shops across Japan. They support and showcase original work from Japanese artist and so the store is full of cute, cool, and some outright weird creations. I love it, I could honestly buy everything in this store and some of my all time favourite purchases from Japan were made here. If you only seek out one store on this list, make it this one!
6% DOKIDOKI
This is a quintessential kawaii Harajuku fashion store. Think overwhelming rainbow, pastels, fluffy animals, and crazy patterns. If you want to feel like you had the 'true' Harajuku shopping experience be sure to stop by.

TOKYO MUSUBI
If you are looking for a modern twist on a traditional Japanese souvenir then look no further. This shop sells beautifully made furoshiki (traditional Japanese wrapping cloths) with a range of adorable and modern prints. These make excellent and practical gifts.

Hi!
I'm Cheri, creator of Kawaii Cherry Pi, and (as you can probably guess) I love making kawaii and cute artwork and accessories. I am a huge fan of Japanese culture; the crazy and colorful along with the peaceful and natural.
Just like Japan, this site is a haven of contrasts; kawaii & otaku, travel tips and wanderlust, and mindfulness & self-improvement. So, stay a while and tanoshi! 楽しい
